Up very early to get to the train by 8.00am, rather tricky for Stewart.
When I thought we had sorted out this hostel booking/travel thing I was hugely mistaken. It took a while to find the Hostel that we had booked over the internet. There were no signs and we were basically locked out. The Hostel 42 Rambla, is rather dodgy, very central though. The bunk beds are broken, the paid for breakfast is non existent and no hot water in the shower. Oh well, it had to happen. We totally understand now why people go out partying, you have to because you wont get to sleep before 3am anyway due to the music from the surrounding clubs... crazy. However, the one redeeming feature of this hostel is it was very central.
We had a great time looking at the Spanish architecture especially some of the famous works done by Gaudi, quite impressive. Checked out the wharf area, quite impressive, unfortunately though there is graffiti on all surfaces in Spain.
Went out for dinner and drinks with 8 others from the hostel, heaps of fun. Tried some Sangria, great stuff, a little like gluwein. We were going to go to a bar that had Famenco dancing, but, no the Lieing Planet got us again.
We leave for the beach Alacante tomorrow.
