Wow this is an amazing way of life. All around the villages are acres and acres of vines.

We stayed with, and was looked after by Rachel MacKenzie a Hawkes Bay friend and her son Will. Their house is so beautiful, very french, three stories, with fabulous decor. The food was incredible, we had three hearty meals a day. Not much good for my waist.

Rachel took us to a few Domains, village run wineries and private wineries. Very special and quaint, we tried many wines of varieties I had never heard of. I am now quite partial to a little Rose.

We were introduced to the locals, tried out a little of my 3rd form french out, mmm not much success, I managed to say my name and that I didnīt speak much/any french. Fun though. We also met some of the local ex pats. They were so amazing, and had had very exciting lives. Rachel put on a dinner party on the Wednesday, it was a full on french feast. Starting with and aperitif finishing with a fabulous Panacotta. A range of lovely wines were also consumed.

Thank you Rachel and Brain, we had a fantastic time.
