The train ride to Venice was quite straight forward only a couple of train changes, we coped very well, despite the terrible hangovers.

A new challenge, camping in Europe. Actually it worked out rather easy, we had chosen a camping ground, discovered we needed to get off before central Vencice, did that, and found the connecting bus to the Camp Fusima. It turned out to be a very popular camping ground. We pitched out tent, Stewart had some dinner and then a very early night.

A negative about the place being so popular, is that it is rather noisy, many Contiki groups, young Italian couples and Italian families, all very dramatic and lots of loud music.

I slept well though, I love my mattress.

We saw the sights of Venice the next day. It was very hot and bought out every single tourist in the city. It was incredibly busy. At one point we took a different route, off the tourist track and we were suddenly all alone, a nice change. Absolutely amazing maze. We got quite lost, Stewart thinks the city was built for children as a maze, dead ends with no bridges over canals etc. So cool.

We did the usual, tried Gelato ice cream, went to St Marks square, played with the pigeons and I bought a venetian glass necklace. We had a great day. Stewart wasn't romantic though, he didn't want to waste money on a Gondola ride on the canal. I was a little disappointed, nah jokes, it is pretty corny.

We were going to go to the beach today, but the weather isn't that flash, it's raining. We are spending the day organising our trip to Florence, we leave tomorrow morning.

Take care love Debbie and Stewart.
