We left Zurich at 10 am and arrived in Hamburg 10 hours later. We were a little late but Kirsten was waiting patiently for us.
We saw a few sights of Hamburg from the car on the way to Kirstens flat. It is quite a pretty city, did you know that it has more bridges than Venice and Amsterdam, I was surprised, but soon understood how, bridges everywhere.
The flat was full of visitors and everyone was great, making an effort to speak English to us, we felt very welcome. We had a stint at a friend of a friend of Kirstens place, really busy but we felt a little strange and out of place.
The next day we saw a few sights before heading to Berlin at 4.00pm. We climbed the tallest Cathedral, Michaeliskirche, walked some streets, visited the harbour and had a sausage and coffee. The cafe was opposite a large container loading area and a whole lot of sand had been imported, visited by many locals. We also visited Chris' hangout while he was in Hamburg and saw his Velo, tourist bike.
Just a short note this time.
Cheers
