Breakfast was served today at 8 am. We had hot dogs, eggs, raw veggies, cereal and toast. I had one student who did not feel well this morning so I stayed back at BCNC with her while the other students enjoyed the activities of the day.

Today's morning schedule included pottery making. Maew accompanied the students on today's excursion. I thought perhaps the students would come home with a small pot or bowl but no, they came home with a medium to large size Chang (elephants). They were so cute and the students were so creative. The teacher said he was impressed at their natural ability. Normally people have problems with this task but they were exceptional. Lunch was served at the facility and was reported to have been delicious. The students stopped at Aj Nim's house on the way back to BCNC to meet Aj Nim's in-laws.

Once back to campus the students spent the afternoon learning how to paint. They each painted a floral pattern on glassware and a rock. Once again I was very impressed with their creativity.

Students spent a few hours this afternoon preparing for tonight's farewell party. They are putting together a slide show, a song, "Lean on Me" and a skit with a Gospel message. This year the party is going to be held at the Phucome Manor. The facility that we used the past two years was booked solid this week so we needed to change locations. There were around 40 people in attendance (faculty, staff, & students). The hotel is built with teak wood and was absolutely beautiful. The room was decorated in northern Thai style. The food was served buffet style except for the Ajon table. Everyone was dressed so beautifully. The buddies were really looking forward to this evening. The BCNC students put together several shows. The first was a dance showing the north and south of Thailand, the buddies sang the song from The Titanic and a slide show was shown from pictures that Willie had taken. Pi Jip spoke and since Aj Brad was not there to grade her speech, I gave her an A+. Many gifts were exchanged and then it was time for the Messiah College presentations. The buddies each got up and shared a special memory/event that they will take with them. The Thai buddies were crying throughout the evening. Then, came my presentations. No matter how much I tell myself that I am not going to cry, I do. This year was another flood. I am so glad Aj. Brad was not there because I am sure that I would have received an "F" for my speech as it was so interspersed with periods of silence as I tried to gain my composure.

Following the program we joined together to do some karaoke and the Cha Cha dance. Pi Jip had practiced this dance on the American Dinner night for about an hr. Aj Nim had asked her to come to the front and lead the students in this dance. Pi Jip was rather surprised at this request but she followed her orders and actually did very well.

Well, the night went by quickly and before we knew it, it was 11 pm. Pi Jip was staying with Maew at the dorm tonight. We got back at the dorm, ate some dessert and watched a little TV. We always have such a good time together. We laugh so much. The students and Jip's faculty are always asking, "What are you laughing about?" " Why do you laugh so much?" We have just become good friends  that we can talk about almost anything at this point.
