America obviously has more resources and money so our technology is far more advanced. Thailand does not have nursing homes so patients are forced to return home whether the family is prepared or not. Community health care is a strength in some areas of Thailand and non-existent in others.
At 2:30 some of the students went with me to the mall. We had to pick up our group pictures for the farewell party scheduled for tomorrow evening. We shopped for about an hour. We ate dinner at 6 pm followed by a course meeting. The students were very talkative and we had some really good discussions. During our course meeting Pi Jip and her husband brought the students Roht Dee. The students loved it. It was devoured in about 1 minute. It was topped with chocolate so everyone was wanting more than one piece. For some reason students are hungry tonight. Around 10 pm a fair amount of the students were looking for food. I believe they ate all of the peanut butter and jelly that I had.
The students have more of a laid back schedule so they are preparing for the farewell party, spending time with their buddies and finalizing last minute shopping before we depart on Thursday. I just received notification that the east coast of the USA is expecting a huge snow storm that may impact our travel. I am praying this does not happen but I already prepared the students. This trip has been the first for many things so I am not going to be surprised if our travel plan is altered.
