My experience of Senegal is so fascinating that I want to share it here with you. Read my page and I will tell you the best things to see and do in Dakar. You'll be so surprised!
Americans in general have a very negative impression of Africa as a whole. This may be based on the media depicting the entire continent as starving children running around naked with bees flying around their heads, all homes are mud huts with no running water and electricity, dirt roads and men/women walking around with only a loin cloth covering them.
First of all let me explain Africa is not a country but a continent. No one clumps all European countries together. We differentiate between the European countries because we know each country is different eg. food and culture. The same applies for African countries. Senegal is different from Ghana, and Kenya is different from the Congo. Senegal is a country with its own food and culture.
