Sitting in spitting rain, in Seattle.
Sans sun, Seattle is.
My sunny streak in Seattle...
sadly, has ceased.
My sister shrugs,
"So?" says she.
Shoulders sagging, I sigh
"Suicide inducing!" says I.
She smiles, so used to Seattle she is.
instead of spit," she replies.
So we sit as it softly sprinkles.
Soothing Seattle rains as
To be fair, Chris is working, and I'm writing... poetry?!?!?! Are you kidding me?!?!?! Definitely too much time on the West Coast... Must get home to deadlines, 20 hour days, and hustle and bustle!
Had dinner with one of the two people I keep in touch with from college, Alex. Got to meet her hubby, Ethan. The last time I saw Alex was probably 15 years ago. We had a great time, eating way too much sushi.
Today we have an interview, not sure when we'll get motivated to get up and do it, but I do have my rose quartz ready to assist! Karin has a friend, Angel, who is an amazing artist. His current medium is jewelry. I have one of his pieces that Chris got from Karin last Christmas that is beyond gorgeous - garnets and vesuvianite. The necklace I got yesterday from Angel's collection is quite unique. It's not a traditional necklace, but one that you wrap around your neck to make a necklace, or your wrist to make a bracelet. Lots of beautiful rose quartz stones, so let the magic begin! Wait, perhaps the fact that I wrote a poem is proof positive of the power of rose quartz. I dunno, but ask anyone, I have never written a poem in my life unless ordered to by a teacher in high school!
PS: Never could get off the couch yesterday, so the interview was rescheduled for today.
PS2: Um, Blue is fine... nothing wrong, clean bill of health. Along the lines of going to the doctor with chest pains, thinking you're having a heart attack and finding out you have gas. And that's all I have to say about that, in the immortal words of Forrest Gump.
