I don't want much from my government... really, I don't. BUT, I do think a simple road sign on Federal National Park lands that says "Next gas 200 miles" is not that much to ask for, do you?

We left the Grand Canyon after checking out sunrise and our campsite neighbor's complete and total lack of regard for the environment:

... and drove off to Utah....

We saw some interesting signs along the way:

... and some gorgeous country. In fact, we liked the countryside so much, we decided to stop on a hill about mid-way there... because yup, we ran out of gas ;-)

Luckily, from this point, it was all downhill and we did make it to a gas station. Checked into the RV Corral Park, and went off to check out the area... I'll talk more about the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary later, but check out the Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park:

And lemme tell you, Utah is DEFINITELY this country's best kept secret... it is GORGEOUS!! It is also the land of ATV off-road trails... We decided to put Blue to the test and headed up and out to find the best place to watch the sunset:

Alpine Aire Mushroom Asparagus Risotto with Shrimp
8 out of 10
Exactly what is said it was... Asparagus was al dente when cooked for 15 minutes, risotto was tender and cheesy. the meal was filling, didn't need any additional spices, and was a good change-up from tomato sauce noodles etc... Would have it again.

Alpine Aire Chocolate Hazelnut Bavarian Cream
8 out of 10
Thin tasting - could have a more chocolate-y taste. I think next time (because we got two) I will use the Dutch Chocolate Chai mix liquid instead of water and see what that tastes like. Lots of hazelnuts, though - in fact, so many, they got all jammed in my teeth and one cut my tongue, grrrr.... All that said, it's still really good ;-)
