Dean is back on full form and starving so we found Nemo's, the restaurant we had been reccommended and enjoyed breakfast there. We met with John (Roger's mate) while we were there and chatted to him over our food. John is also very well travelled, he is a really nice guy. He's had a row with Roger this morning which we found very amusing. Roger is the sort of bloke that there is his way and the wrong way, no in between or compromise. John is getting ready to leave and the two of them are getting on each other's nerves after spending almost a month travelling together. I think that they may choose to go their seperate ways as Roger seems happy here but John is getting pressure from some other friends who are in Phuket and want him to go over there and join them.
We had a quiet day, nosing around the shops and did a bit of sunbathing. In the evening we joined John and Roger for a meal at Nemo's which was delicious and went out after to go boozing. Everywhere was closed, all the bars - only the restaurants were open. We couldn't figure out what was happening so in the end we went to a shop to get take-out drinks to go back and enjoy on the porch. They refused to sell us alcohol as it was election day and apparantly they're not allowed on election days. How strange. However, we went to one of the little scruffiest shops and they had no qualms about selling drink to us, they were happy to take our money. Dean also got a big bag of ice with the intention of designing some sort of cool box using our lilo and some straps.
The lilo idea worked and it was great to drink cold lager, we got pretty wrecked and our new found friends came over to join us. Later, an American guy called Lucas came over and told us some funny stories about diving and skiing. We went to bed in the early hours of the morning - another good night was had.
