On Saturday we were determined to try and make it to Kings Park after putting it off for weeks. We went into Perth and did a bit of shopping, had lunch then dragged ourselves to the other side of town to get the bus, only to be told we had to go back from where we had just come from which was about 20 minutes walk away. Once again we gave up on the idea of going to Kings Park.
We went back home and got ready to go for a meal to a place called little creatures. Little Creatures is a Brewery set inside a massive converted boat shed right on Fishing Boat Harbour in Fremantle. Within the brewery itself is a bar, restaurant, art gallery and an old crocodile farm, you can actually see the beer being brewed as your in there. The atmosphere was buzzing and according top dean the beer was fantastic. we would of stayed in there all night but of course it was the FA cup final so we headed into freo centre to meet Deans mate from work and find a pub with the match on. We all met in an Irish bar but it was like grab a granny in there - we looked well out of place so we headed to another bar. Kelly got real tired so headed off home at about 11.30. of course dean used this to his full advantage and headed off to a club and rolled in at 5 am.
on the Sunday we were going to watch our first Aussie rules footie game with the crew to watch our team - Fremantle Dockers. dean was suffering badly but Kelly offered no sympathy and said it served him right. we rolled up at the stadium 20 minutes late and it took us about 15 minutes to finally find our seats which had been taken up by someone else. by the time the 3rd quarter started the dockers were being thrashed so we headed to the bar and stocked up on drinks to see us through to the last quarter, however in true supporter style we left about 10 minutes before the end to a mob of away supporters singing cheerio and waving us off!! i must say it was quite embarrassing.
we headed to an Irish bar a few minutes away from the freo ground to let the crowds die down and had a few drinks there before heading back to cottesloe for a Sunday session at the OBH. there was a live band playing all the classics like bon jovi and greenday and we had a real good night. by this point dean had only just got back into kels good books, we headed off home while the others carried on to a bar in claremont only to find that dean had left the apartment key at our mates house which was a 10 minute drive away - yes there was fireworks. we had to get a taxi all the way to her house and all the way back.
the next few nights we just chilled out and stayed in trying to save a bit of money.
on Thursday we all went round to josh's for a poker night! we all had $10 each of coins and just played with small bets. dean came out about evens but Kelly lost everything - despite having the best hand of the night- 5 jacks (we played with 2sets of cards cause of the amount of ppl, so no, i wasn't cheating!!!!) so we had just about enough for a taxi home!
dean decided to have the day off on the Friday but kel went into work despite feeling like a complete wreck - and being told she looked it!!! after going for lunch with the girls from work for one of their leaving celebrations kel decided there was no point going back for the after noon so stayed in the pub all afternoon for a hair of the dog whilst dean stayed in and polished and swept and washed - he makes quite a good house keeper!
the highlight of deans day was getting the new oasis album in the post from Craig and listening to it about 15 times before Kelly even got home. Kelly just wants to say "thanks Craig, my nights now are just filled with joy!!!"
