Back in Bangkok once again, this place is starting to seem far too familiar. Just an overnight stay before heading for Ko Tao down the south for some diving and beach action. Trying to get information around the Koh San Road to do with the cheap trains is impossible - according to the agents there are no trains south during the day! However, the Thai railway site (linked to from the excellent www.seat61.com of course) tells otherwise - I got a 1pm third class train to hook up with the night ferry from Chumphon to take me to Ko Tao overnight. Cheap cheap but damn slow, however, got to see an amazing sunset on the train and a beautiful sunrise over Ko Tao as we approached at 5am on the boat. The advantages of slow travel!
