Where I stayed

It's Friday night, almost 9:00 o'clock and I have been packed and ready to go since Noon.  Sandy, on the other hand, who absolutely detests packing came home at Noon and has been procrastinating ever since is not close to being ready to go. Did I mention we leave for Philly to pick up Laura at 6:40 am tomorrow?

I think we're ready. Bryan is coming over tomorrow morning at 5:15 to take us to the aiport.  He and Erin will stay here at the house while we're gone.  They say it's to protect the house from thieves, but I'm thinking they are trying out the house for size when we both "kick the bucket!"  If we come back to different curtins, I'll really be suspicious!

Got a few minor irritations right now.  Laura's multiple entry visa to Egypt got screwed up by the visa vendor, (she's going back to Israel for three weeks in January to volunteer some place before flying back to Cairo and eventually back to NYC)  but we think we can fix that ourselves once in Egypt.  If not, we're sure the Israelis will not want to keep her as long as we have!!!  Ha!

Also leaving from Princeton on Sunday to a shuttle to take us there...except it appears it's going to take us to Newark insteady...DOH!  I'll call 'em and get it straightened out tomorrow.

I think Sandy and are both at the, "Do I need this?" or "What did I forget?" stage.  You know how that is.  But Sandy's motto has always been, "That's why we have charge cards!"  I remember forgetting to pack underwear on a business trip one time..."Excuse me, can you tell me where the closest JC Pennys is?"

Couple of things:  I think our idea to get a separate phone (Global Travel Phone) just for our international calls was a good idea.  If you want to call us, our number is:  1-903-890-7882.  Also, we called the credit card companies and told them they might see some charges from Israel, Jordan or Egypt on our account. Good idea. Actually talked to one lady who said she had relatives in Jordan and they make some beautiful gold jewelry there.  That could be an expensive stop!

Plan is to meet Laura tomorrow afternoon and then try one of Philly's finest...Tony Luke's for Philly Cheesesteak!

Better double check for Jockeys Dave... not sure if there is a JC Penney's at the Pyramids and I wouldn't want to come back through TSA going comando!
