Bloody Greeks. not only are they a selfish race (J. Kratharsis, 2003), but they cannot operate ferries in accordance with their own timetable. And their ferries smell like old hospitals and are old and slow, but cheap and take you to Italy, albeit arriving much later than planned, but still in enough time to walk through what looks like a very nice place in Brindisi to the train station where you can catch overnight 'Happy Trains' to Rome for €10 each if you book them in advance on the trenitalia website. The 'Happy Train' turned out to be an unhappy train for one young lady when sniffer dogs and a load of police came into our carriage and made an arrest for possession of an illegal substance.
