After stocking an esky with some water and fruit for our trip, we left our good friends, Ric and Jenny and headed for our next stop, Cody, Wyoming.

The weather was good, but as we got closer to the mountains, it started raining. We headed through Big Horn National forest and came across some wonderful scenery. It was a pity it was raining and we also could not stop too many places, so could only get some pics from a moving car.

I took over the driving after a couple of hours and we made it into Cody just before 5pm.

We checked into our hotel (cabin) and then walked up the road to see what was around. We found a pub with an outdoor area, so decided this would do for our happy hour drinks before dinner.

There was a guy setting up to sing, country and western, but thought it would be OK.

There were a couple at the next table to us, who we got to talking to and they moved over to our table. Jim and Liz are from Canada and had just driven from Sturgis to see Yellowstone for a couple of days.

As we got talking, they told us that this was their second Sturgis and that they were camped next to 2 aussies last year. Turns out that these aussies were 2 guys from Darryls work. Small world!

Also, when we asked where they were staying, they said Buffalo Bill Cabins No 392. Funny, we are in cabin 391. Both of us have checked in for 2 nights, so when they get back from their sightseeing tonight, we are all going to go to the Rodeo, which is held every night in Cody.

Whilst we were sitting have a couple of drinks, it started to rain, so we moved to cover and just as we did, it started hailing. There were no signs, it just started hailing. Jim's bike was parked up the road, so he was a little concerned for it. When it stopped, they left and Darryl and I had another drink and a game of pool and walked back to our cabin.

Tomorrow we will explore Cody, as there is quite a bit of history here and then head to Yellowstone the next day.
