Today was an amazing day! It was the last day of competition and all the supporters were prepared, with flags, kangaroos, clackers to go around to the final minutes of each competitor and make some noise.

It was going to be difficult, as the venue is massive and everyone finished at different times.

We arrived at about 10.30am and the first finisher was at 11, so we trotted off there.  Small crowd just cheering when the clock counted down.

Jay was finishing at 12, so we headed down there at 11.50am and when we got there, Jay was just standing around, his toolbox packed up waiting for it to finish.  A small crowd gathered and clapped and cheered when the clock ran down. He looked so happy.  He came to the fence and gave me a big cuddle.

After that we just followed the pack around to the other competitors. By the time we got to hairdressing, the crowd was massive (video to come later).

We left the venue at 6 and headed into the city to the restaurant where drinks for supporters and team were being held. The team arrived at 8.15pm and were cheered.

There were over 100 Aussies at this restaurant, the poor waitresses did not know what had hit them. It was very noisy.

We ended up leaving at midnight and caught the tram back to the unit. Another big day. Closing ceremony tomorrow.
