Odd that even though we're leaving a furnished house to our tenants, I keep finding more things to pack. It's been weeks and we have hundreds of pounds of boxes to be shipped or crammed into whatever storage there is in the RV.
We've managed to put into the basement of the Spring Avenue house all the books we've already read. It's going to be odd to be in a new place without being surrounded by bookshelves full of familiar titles. Thank goodness for the photographs. And books I haven't read yet. I promise to get a library card once I change my residency status, which I don't think will happen until after the election.
Our CA car insurance premium is half of what it is here in PA. That should more than offset the higher gas prices. Len is also shortening his commute to 3 miles. I anticipate having a commute, but hope it's bikeable.
I leave on Tuesday for NY, so I'd better get what packing finished I can. Going to try to convince Len to go to Monk's for dinner tonight. I need one last meal there before we leave.
Stay tuned...
