Yes, thus far the most amazing place I have ever been in my life.  My trip to Singapore is something I will never forget and every detail will remain a part of me.  The place is just simply magical.  A modern high tech city built upon a beautiful, lush green island.  It is easily the cleanest place on earth with littering laws that will cause you to take a second mortgage out on your house to avoid jail time.  Well....that's an exaggeration but they are quite serious about it, and people there take a lot of pride in their country, as they should.

When I arrived I had to get right to business and meet an agent to acquire my work visa and do some paperwork.  After that I had a few hours before I had to meet back up with him.  I met my darling friend Jennie for lunch, as she lives in Singapore.  She is a great new friend I met on myspace, but we actually hung out a few weeks prior in Jakarta.  After lunch, she had to return to work so I walked around Orchard street for awhile and did some shopping.  Well I didnt do much, because Singapore is quite expensive.  After finishing things up with the agent and getting my visa, I jumped in a taxi to the hotel.  The hotel had an amazing view of most of Singapore.  While waiting for Jennie, I went off exploring and ended up somewhere in Little India and hung out on a street cafe and had a beer.  During that time it got dark and I was very anxious to see what the nightlife of Singapore had in store for me.

Hmmmmm, you might get sick of hearing the word "amazing" from me, but I dont know how else to describe it.  I know it puts just about any American city to shame, but thats just because its so different and so decorated.  We had a beer and some appetizers at a place on the river, then went to see the famous Singapore lion on the water.  From there we walked down the river where there are lots of bars, live music places, and restaurants on both sides.  The neon lights gleam off the water and its quite a site.  We had a drink at the Bungy Bar, then headed back to the hotel to change and get ready for the real nightlife.  Club Zouk was by far the best club I have ever been to, read about, or heard of.  They had a great international dj playing there all night, and at some point in the late hours, we decided to check out a new club, Ministry of Sound.  Ministry of Sound is a world renowned club, bringing out some of the best talent the world has to offer.  It was a great time as well.  The pictures dont do justice, so I guess you have to come visit me and we can meet in Singapore?

The last day was icing on the cake and made it the best weekend of my life.  After checking out of the hotel, we headed off the Sentosa beach.  Lunch at Cafe Del Mar, directly on the beach? House music playing all day? A foam party in the pool?  Beach beds on the sand with wait staff?  My first time back in the ocean in over a decade?  By the way, I recommend remembering that ocean water is a bit salty and you might want to keep your mouth closed, I almost threw up it was so bad.  There isnt much else to tell because words just cant describe some things and some experiences.  The sunset picture you see was how the day ended and its a picture I will have forever to remind me of Singapore and it being a great chapter of my travelling experiences.

I have a feeling that Bali and Singapore are going to be my new playgrounds for the next year or so.  Hope this blog made some of you ponder the thought of coming to Southeast Asia and hanging out with me.  Yes, its expensive, its very expensive...but its something you'll remember for the rest of your life and cherish forever.  Oh yeah, and if you dont want to pay for what I do and become an international teacher, that works too!

Love you all, take care and talk soon!
