Hello family and friends! Its been a while and I am sorry but boy do I have a lot to tell you all.

OK so as you know part of last week (3/23-/27) was spring break! It was a mush needed break because the beginning of the we had exams, but anyways come Wednesday (3/23) we all were ready to go! If you don't remember I went to Todos Santos with a group of 10 people and stayed in a HUGE beach house, owned by Dr. Rob.
Wednesday morning we left for La Paz at 730 AM because the bus from Puerto San Carlos to La Paz pretty much left at the butt crack of dawn but at this point I didn't care because I was ready to leave campus! The bus took about 4 hours to get to La Paz and surprisingly it was a quick, comfortable ride! Once we got there, our group slit up and 4 people got on another bus while 3 of us (including myself) picked up the rental car and the two boys from the airport. The drive to La Paz to Todos Santos was only about an hour and was pretty smooth the whole way, even thought the GPS we rented was not working AT ALL! Once we got into Todos Santos we picked up some groceries and made to trip to Dr. Rob's house. We actually stayed in Pescadaro, a tiny little fishing/farming town, about 10 mins away from Todos so we had little more driving to do. This is where it got a little hariy because the turn off to Pescadaro is a dirt road with LOADS of potholes, rocks, and bumps. Mind you I am driving a mini van haha. It took us a while to find the house because the town consisted of a series or unmarked dirt roads, at one point I accidently drove down someones farm, but eventually we made it!
All the stress was worth it because the house was BEAUTIFUL and the view from our living room was gorgeous. The waves were just continuously crashing on the beach and were so load it sounded like thunder. Almost immediately all the stress from driving and school just melted away. Oh, and by the way, the title of my blog, Meditate, Procreate, Recreate, was what Dr. Rob's sign said outside his house haha I can't take credit for that jem. That night no one felt like cooking so we went out to this delicious little hole of the wall restaurant, came home, relaxed with a few beers, and went to bed.
The next morning (Thursday) I woke up to the sound of waves crashing, just to let you know I would recommend doing this at some point b/c it is the most peaceful way to wake up! Pretty much immediately we put our suits on and went outside and watched the two boys-Danny and Michael- surf which was really neat. I guess the waves weren't too good for surfing right outside our house so after a bit Ellen (the girl who invited her the two guys) and the boys went to a surf hotel to ask for the good surf spots. The guys at the hotel told them this one beach, Cerritas, was really nice and only about 10 mins away. We packed up and went there for the day, which mind you was off the beaten path, but once we got there it was all worth it bc it was again so beautiful. The waves were huge and at one point we were playing in the waves and it was sooo fun bc they were taller than me, but to put this lightly, I did NOT wear the right swim suit....lesson learned. After a couple hours we packed up and went into Todos Santos, just to put an image in your head we had 10 people in a minivan that sat 7, haha. The town is awesome, its a cute little artsy town with beautiful jewelry and pottery and such. After that we picked up a few things for dinner and made an delicious pasta dinner and relaxed with a few beers.
Friday we pretty much did the same thing, went to the beach, watched the boys surf, laid out, played in the waves, ya know typical activities in paradise. That night we made one of the best meals I have yet to have in Mexico, it even beat tamales. The boys grilled some meat and veggies, we made guacamole, pina coladas, and black beans and we had a great little taco/burrito bar thing. We invited Dr. Rob and Max-a crazy, hairy Russian guy who lives next door- to eat with us because they had spent most of the day firing up this hot tub that is heated by wood. They told us some crazy stories pretty much to sum it up, Dr. Rob has made his fortune by being in charge of the little sticker vending machine things and Max has been to burning man for the past 9 years. The rest of the night was spent in this awesome hot tub, relaxing with a few beers, and we sat around a camp fire once we all got too pruney. Between the amazing day, the delicious food, the crazy stories, and hot tub/bonfire it was one of the best slash relaxing days of all break!
Saturday I woke up pretty depressed because it was our last full day of break but it was a beautiful day and we started it off by going into town to go shopping. Shopping in Todos was awesome! There was so much beautiful art, jewelry, clothes, it was some great window shopping! I treated myself to a beautiful silver ring and bracelet made out of red coral! Hopefully the pictures can load and I can show you them! After we finished shopping we ate at this little pizza place with a wood burning grill and had the most delicious pizza in Mexico! After we were done with pizza we made the treacherous trek to this little secluded beach called Los Palmes and it was well worth it! There was no one there, it was surrounded by mountains, and the water was crystal clear, blue! It was really neat, I climbed up the side of this mountain with Michael and Danny and then some girls joined us and I have never regretted not bringing my camera more! We were on top of this mt. overlooking the bay and there were these sheer drop offs into little rocky coves, it was so neat. I am so bummed I didn't bring my camera 1) to show ya how high up we were and 2) to show ya how awesome the view was! Oh, well next time haha. After I climbed back down we packed up went home, rested/showered and made some much needed coffee, and went out to dinner the last night. We ended up going to this little Tapas restaurant were we ordered a bunch of appetizers and split them between all of us and it was the second best meal I have had in Mexico. I'm just going to tell you what all we ordered because it was that awesome!  OK we had Mango shrimp with a field green salad, coconut shrimp with a black bean and mango salad, veggie sushi roll, tempura sushi roll, pesto pasta shrimp plate, and a smoke tuna quesidilla! After dinner we went to a bar with life music. I was the DD so I didn't have any drinks but I made everyone promise if I was the DD, they would have a few beers with me when we got home. The bar was ok, the music was kinda sucky but it was still fun. We didn't stay very long because drinks were pretty pricey but when we got home everyone upheld their promise and we had one fun last night of spring break!
The next morning we packed up, and to my heart ache, we left paradise. We dropped off people who took the bus first and then the boys. I was really sad to see Danny and Michael leave bc  they were two really down to earth awesome, hilarious guys AND it was nice to be around the opposite sex (there are 15 girls here and 1 boy) for a little bit. WE turned back our hardy little minivan and took the bus home.

All in all this was one of the best spring breaks I have been on, maybe it was just the timing of it but some seriously great memories were made haha

Sorry this was soo long but it was like I'm reliving it while I was telling it haha

Love and miss you all,
