Early breakfast and on the road to Blarney Castle where Dawn tried to kiss the Blarney Stone but couldn't quite reach although she did have a very good try.  Locked Dawn in the dungeon but unfortunately she got out.  Tried again to lose her in the caves but she managed to escape!
Grounds were pretty spectacular and the castle was impressive.

Next on to Kenmare and the start of the Ring of Kerry, this is one of the most popular scenic drives in Ireland which takes you through green valleys and rugged mountain passes really enjoyable.  Really hard to describe what we saw - sometimes it was calm and pretty and other times high narrow passes through mountains which looked impassable.  Thoroughly enjoyable drive although marred a little bit by mist and a bit of drizzle.

Checked in to B & B in Killarney and went out for an authentic Irish meal in a little restaurant in town.  Bacon and cabbage.  It consisted of a large bacon steak on a bed of cabbage and potato with parsnip and carrot puree and a mustard sauce - very tasty and we now weigh 2 stone more.
