Legend has it that the Isla del Sol is where Derek and May met.... we spent a very nice day here yesterday, having caught a fairly local boat at 8.30am from Copacabana - again, thanks to Paul Phill survived the boat trip - two hours on pretty rough lake waters and he was fine!
We walked the length of the island, north to south, very quiet, clean and stunning views.
Got back to our most fabulous of suites at the Hostal las Olas and managed to cook a meal in, with a fairly decent bottle of Bolivian vino fino tinto.
Off to La Paz at 1.30pm by bus, hopefully with our luggage....

Great Pics!!
Hey you two! Finally managed to crank up the old PC last night and read your blog - great stuff! It's finally DAWNed on me (bit slow really) that your trip is simply a quest for the perfect coffee! And why not. Hope you're both fit and well. Love C&P, Dyl-boy & Stanley. xx
A few grey hairs later....
Your visit brings back a few memories for us - we have been avidly reading the blog and loved the hat dancing photo - Derek danced in one like that at our wedding.
Take care and look forward to the next update
