We arrived in Uyuni early evening and made a mad dash to get to Colque tours to hopefully book on the Salar de Uyuni tour the next morning! Flukey as ever, we managed to get the last 2 seats, checked into a hostel and cuddled down in a single bed with lots of blankets to try and keep warm! Awwwww takes us back to Toothill Road days!!!!!
My clumsiness reached its peak this morning as I stepped out of our room and managed to smash a plant pot in the process!!! Whoops! So had a slight panic about border control at Bolivia and then forgot about it as we got the bus to Uyuni! It was to be a rather longwinded but eventful bus journey, full of French! Thinking we'd booked a direct bus to Uyuni, we were abit surprised to arrive at Potosi and have a 2 hour wait for the next bus but heyho...good opportunity to grab some food and get ripped off by a random number generating restauranter! We sat next to a gorgeous little 2 year old on the next part of the journey who just waffled away at us nonstop! She particularly liked throwing our camera around and looking at the piccies! And then it was Paul's turn to become sick dispatcher out of the window, as the old man and the little girl next to us took it in turns to puke!!! Lovely! He's planning on putting it on his CV when he gets back! I swapped seats with the old guy for a it and knew how he felt...bleughhhhh!
