After a close bag swipe incident on the bus (Dave was on the ball with the help of a local!), we arrived in Ica and caught a taxi straight to Huacachina! It literally is an oasis surrounded by immense sand dunes! We had a quick explore, watched the sunset and settled down for dinner & a few beers! Nice!
We had brekkie the next morning in a cute little cafe made all the better for the yummy choccies you could buy there! Abit like ferrero rocher but even nicer! With an emergency supply, we headed out to hire sandboards and slogged our way up the dunes to hit the sand! Paul perfected the art of somersaults with the 'all or nothing' approach, Dave perfected the 'slow-motion' surfing approach (better if you hit fast forward on the video clips!) and I just sledged and squealed!!!! Great way to spend a morning though and made for some very amusing photos and video clips! After a quick lunch by the lake, we were on the move again and this time to Nazca!
