As part of the tour, we had 2 full days in Alice Springs and decided to treat oursleves to a Hot Air Balloon ride and Quad Biking adventure out in the bush around Alice Springs! We saw the most unbelievable sunrise from the balloon and even saw some roo´s jumping around underneath us! It can´t top the experience over the Serengeti on our honeymoon but it was definitely worth doing and was topped off with a traditional ballooners breakfast in the bush of chicken drumsticks, quiche and chocolate cake accompanied with bucks fizz of course darling!

We decided to choose the quad bike add-on just for something different as both of us had never tried it before! It was excellent even though my nickname became Grandma as I went so slowly! Everyone had to keep waiting for me to catch up....but I was having a great time! Had a great morning all in all and made plans with Grandad to meet up later to go and watch sunset which ended up with us taking advantage of the happy hour and free pool at Melanka´s, Paul getting refused entry to the nightclub for being too drunk and all of us being in bed by 10! Nice!
