Ooohhh how exciting..an English speaking country!! And were we glad to get our feet on the ground after a very turbulent flight with women screaming and allsorts! Think Paul lost all the blood in his hand as I was squeezing it so hard!!!! Landed safe and sound though...phewww! Bright and early it was too so got the bus straight to the hostel and bedded down for a few hours before hitting the streets of Darwin to explore abit!

Darwin´s basically not that big at all and there´s not a great deal to do in the city itself and especially not in a day which is all we had! So we headed for the coastal walk into town which was extremely nice and the sun was shining big time! We passed some of Darwin´s historic monuments (??? Australia can find history in anything! Every pub you go into has a little history book about it!) and learnt alot about it´s role during the war! Anyway after taking in the main tourist sights, we hit the pub and had kangaroo burgers, beer and watched rugby league! Heaven!!!

PS I forgot to mention an amusing incident at Bali airport when a woman wandered past with her mini-skirt hitched right up her bum!!!! I was in fits of giggles with this French girl sitting next to me for about 20 minutes! Hee Hee! Sorry boys...no photographic evidence!
