Well as always our journey started of manically with us trying to catch the first tube at 6 to catch the airport bus from the other side of town!!! We love a challenge and sod's law the tube decided to stop for prolonged periods at every station but also stop inbetween stations! Excellent...but in our flukey style we made it with minutes to spare! We're getting good! We booked our flights to Borneo with Air Asia (Asia's alternative to Easyjet), we thought they were great! We set off a teeny bit late but made up the time in the air and arrived bang on time in Kota Kinabalu! Can't ask for much more than that! We also managed to spot our first glimpse of Mount Kinabalu - it was the only thing sticking up through the clouds!!! Aaaaaaahh!

It was midday when we arrived and seriously hot! So we spent our first day and a half mooching around booking up for our climb, seeing the sights (mainly a clock tower and a huge mosque) and soaking up the atmosphere Air Asia plane!
Air Asia plane!
! It's got a great feel to it if not a bit smelly! It's also got great (smelly!) sunsets down at the waterfront!! Again the people are unbelievably friendly and we had great times pottering around the night markets trying all the local specialities and chatting with the locals! I also had my second haircut - and it's seriously the best haircut I've ever had although I'm thinking it's maybe abit far to come back to in the future! It was their opening day and Paul fell asleep on the sofa after they spoilt him rotten with cake, sprite and bananas! To be fair, I was being spoilt rotten as well - they must have massaged my head for around an hour! They loved describing my hair as grey-blonde as well!!!!!! What is going on!!! You're not going to recognise me when I get back!!!!
