We'd heard loads of people say that this is a really bad border crossing but we didn't encounter anything major - we had to wait around for hours once we were on the Thai side for the bus to Bangkok but that was about it! At one point we realised the only proof we had that we'd bought our ticket all the way through to Bangkok was a piece of yellow tape! Hmmmm...reassuring but it was all fine!
Poipet is full of casinos and its where all the rich Thai folks come to gamble there money away!!! We met a great guy called Kasper from Poland in the immigration queue who then adopted us and made us drink lots of beer in Bangkok!!!!!!!
