From Siem Reap we headed to Battambang on a specific mission to read a message that Gareth and Reshie left for us on the wall of a cafe when they were there a few months ago!! This took us on the worst road in South East Asia...and that's a fact! It was like being back on safari again - pothole central! The town itself was nice enough - pretty laidback and set on a river!
It was great watching all the Tet festivities - to bring luck to the local businesses they hang firecrackers infront of the main entrance and a chinese dragon does a little dance before setting them all off! All the kids stand around with their hands over there ears - very cute! We had a bit of a lazy time here, had a great brekkie at the Sunrise Coffeehouse and read our message!!! (You both smell too!)
