We had a great journey to Dalat which is in the Central Highlands and the journey there was great in itself. We stopped at the Phan Rang Cham Towers perched on a hilltop in the middle of nowhere which were stunning and then started our ascent by bus up into the highlands! The views were spectacular!
It really is a City of Flowers with a great climate for growing veggies, fruit and flowers! Parents would love it! We had a great time here and encountered our first 'clubbing' experience with a random couple we met (all will be revealed!) In a way it felt like you could be in Switzerland or the French Alps as the whole town is based around a huge lake with mountains around all sides - very beautiful and apparently the No 1 spot for Vietnamese honeymooners! In the guidebooks it tells you that one of the best things to do in Dalat is to go on a motorbike tour with the 'Easy Riders" who galavant around the countryside on big old russian motorbikes - I had this excellent image in my head of riding into the sunset with a Vietnamese hippy type
Our Dalat experience ended in true stylie in a dodgy club with a Danish/Vietnamese couple we met! Highly amusing and great to have boogy even if the musical highlight was 'No Limits' by 2Unlimited???!!! Now when was the last time you heard that classic! I attracted the attentions of a 40 year old Vietnamese chap (oh yes I haven't lost my charm!!??) who promptly came and proposed a toast with Paul. Paul thought he was handing him a drink so promptly necked this blokes double whiskey! Highly amusing!!!

Bee - its amazing what you can make out of flowers
! Brum Brum! Anyway in the guidebook it didn't tell you wher you could find them, it just said that they would come and find you! Useful! The first day came and went without luck and flukily the next morning we happened to bump into one with an absoultely excellent mean machine!!!! We spent the day riding up into the mountains visiting orchid farms, waterfalls and even got abit of trekking in there! Paul is determined to push me to the extreme so we ended up heading down a vertical slope of pine needles and clambering up the other side...well Paul clambered, I just kind of crawled and at one point slid back half way down the slope which apparently looked very amusing!!!! The Easy Riders must have thought we were mad...Paul ended up with one scrath whereas I had scratches and scrapes everywhere!!!! Excellent! The tour ended at the 'Crazy House' which is actually a guesthouse with different themes for each room! It really is a crazy place but really glad we went as it was sooooo random! Our Dalat experience ended in true stylie in a dodgy club with a Danish/Vietnamese couple we met!
