Big Sur - Silver Wedding Anniversary!!

The weather was` a little cloudy this morning as we breakfasted on a variety of baked goods, plus a peculiar egg concoction plus slivers of ham which Sam made short work of. Then we picked up the sports car, put the top down, and drove down Big Sur - and the sun came out on cue!!
But my, it was breezy. We got to Nepenthe - a fab restaurant in the middle of Big Sur - in time for a lunch of Ambrosia-burgers and margaritas (lots of pictures) and then drove a little further down Big Sur then back to Carmel for the !7-Mile Drive. So lucky with the weather - it's been sunny all week, though not terribly warm.
Returning to our room, I found a dozen red roses waiting for me!
Now we've had another lovely meal overlooking the Pacific Ocean at the Highlands California Market - a brief walk down the road from the Tickle Pink - and come back to our balcony to finish more champagne.
We won't forget our silver wedding anniversary!

When I posted yesterday, on the big day, this entry wasn`t available, so even though it`s now the first day on the way to the Big Fifty, I`ll leave my very best wishes and all my love on the actual day as well.
