Hello Cyber-Travelers.

As you wake up this morning and enjoy these beautiful pictures of Athens please think of how hard we have been working to experience Athens's for you. You can rest assured that we will "work" just as hard touring various Greeks islands eating, drinking and laying in the sun.

Today, we got up at 8:00 am (OMG that's early) to take a tour of the Acropolis. At such an early time we weren't able to have any breakfast until after the tour. You can see by the photo of "Breakfast" we were able to recover with no permanent damage.

We arrived in Athens's expecting a big, polluted and crowded. We were wrong - it is big, but not polluted or crowded. You can really see how they fixed up things since for the Olympics in 1994. For example a new Subway, buildings nicely painted and lots of English signage.

Our tour of the Acropolis was fantastic. We took the bus around the city and then parked by the Acropolis. Our guide took us up the hill to an Olive Tree. There we sat back, enjoying the view and hearing about Greek history - and of course how many of their treasures are in the British Museum.

This afternoon we need to find a travel agent and book a ferry out to Santorini. Funny - you'd thing every corner would have a travel agent - but we haven't found any yet.

Being a tourist area you expect to find many cafes and restaurants - and you do.
