We are now really close to the end if we continue with the schedule.

I really need to slow the pace down and see more of what we are going through and to be honest I have seen enough dirt.

Bill and I have decided to go our separate ways from now on or at least until I return after seeing The Queen.

Apart from the extreme difficulty of parting it has been a lovely day.

A coupe of big legs to leave Nevada and the light switch change into Oregon.

I think the long straights are over as this state is beautiful in a more conventional way than the raw beauty of the hot states.

An amazing transformation. Riding through the end of the Great Basin and in to south east Oregon.

The end of the day has been a highlight.

A slightly down at heel spa motel with natural pool.

Jim and Pixie, the owners, were very impressed about our ride and they got all the maps out to show their daughter Chloe. There is an annual hang gliding competition to land on a target on the motel grounds this evening but even with al this going on I am the star guess from London.

I am going to chill and stay another day and have a hike into the hills.

Hi Dave, how much of the actual TAT are you still doing? Just wondering if you had bailed out to tarmac because of dirt-overload!

You've done a great blog, Dave. We're with you all the way so to speak.

Not sure how much TAT I will do now as there isn't much left. But I will cruise around and see the beauty that Oregon has to offer.

David & Bill –
Perhaps it’s a bit premature but congratulations are in order. You’ve toured a sizable cross-section of this wonderful and vast country; learning a great deal about its people, culture, and history at every stop. You’ve also pushed yourselves to the limits of your own physical and emotional endurance, and will leave the USA with stories to be told for the rest of your lives - your children and theirs will be impressed. Few are afforded such an opportunity and of those who are, how many actually accept the challenge? And last but not least, you’ve made some friends along the way. Here’s hoping we see you again, on one side of the Atlantic or the other. Well done Gents !!

This has been the highlight of our day. Keep it coming! The blog has been so entertaining, if a little worrying at times. Enjoy the rest and the scenery.
