While still in Vietnam, we saw lots of roosters, chickens, pigs, ducks, horses, cows, water buffalo and dogs. I saw one salamander which I took a picture of, that was in Halong Bay. Oh, and we also saw a jellyfish in the water there. Ewwwwww.
Since we've arrived in Australia, we've seen (in no particular order, other than from dead to living specimens); a dead sea lion on the beach, 3 or 4 dead kangaroos on the side of the road and 2 dead foxes on the side of the road
Now, as Kara would say, looking toward our avian friends, we have seen many. We've actually become quite the amateur birders because there are such beautiful tropical looking birds here, and they're all so new to us. So here we go; we've seen an emu (fenced in with the kangaroos, lucky bird), some black swans (indigenous to Australia), a dusky moorhen (had to look that one up), plenty of galahs and Australian magpies, some noisy miners, crested pigeons and rainbow birds, some extremely loud sulphur-crested cockatoos, possibly some red-winged parrots and a few huge pelicans! The pelicans were hanging out on the bank of the river beside some fishermen, I guess just hoping for some handouts.
And finally, on to animals that don't fit anywhere else here. We've also come across Gabby the happy dog, Bill the happy cat and a plant that tried to eat me. Attached is photographic evidence of all of these things.
