It would be a shame to have come this far and not see the sites of this interesting City.
Therefore with camera and tourist map guide in hand, I took in the usual visitors attractions.
A car in this place is almost a complete waste of time, with a tram system, taxi's in abundance, and even rickshaws by Fisherman's Wharf,  there is little point in loosing your sanity trying to find your destination by car in this huge Metropolis.
A boat trip around the bay via the Golden Gate bridge ( built in the mid 30's), and returned by the infamous "Rock",  Alcatraz,  the temporary accommodation to the likes of  " Al Capone",  "Machine-Gun Kelly"  and " Robert Stroud", ( the Birdman), amongst others.
Another hot and dry day , in the high 20's. I can see I will have some difficulty acclimatizing to the change when I return to Shropshire !
One more full day tomorrow, so I hope to have some interesting thing's to report or show. To date I have taken over 600 photo's,  in day's gone by, that would have been 20 reels of film !

Dave Not sure but I think you can apply for American citizenship by now, by the way, there are squatters in you house, the receivers are in your business and your hanger has burnt down. Just trying to ruin you day, jealous to death really

Dave you will have some bother acclimatising, for your information in Warrington we have had rain for the past 18 days some short spells, some longer spells, and some spells days and night.
I noticed a Macy's store from your hotel room view , I would advise you to pick up a raincoat ready for your arrival in Manchester !!!

PS and a sowester and sea boots from Fishermans Wharf !!

Patrick/Linda, Thank you for your interest and good wishes.
I now expect to continue my journey next week. I return to the USA on Tuesday, when I hope the aircraft will be ready for the Pacific crossing. I have 6500 miles of sea to cross in four legs to reach the Eastern part of Australia. I shall post more details on my arrival in California. Please watch this space.

Sorry we didn't see you when you were back in the UK. Hope everything going to plan with the mods/certs etc. The local primary school are following your expedition with great interest - all sorts of questions - like what are you going to eat on your trans-Pacific leg? Please can you give them a mention (Eyton Primary) when you get a minute? Thanks Dave. We are with you in spirit all the way. Take care and fair winds.
