Well done Dave, still following you with great admiration. Having said that my normal Sunday morning lesson did have a touch of excitement. My usual 23 left circuits were actually 05 left today!. I suppose I can dream that we're doing a similar thing, it's just that your circuit is a wee bit bigger than mine! Enjoy, I await next installment
Steve. Everyone has to start somewhere. Put the hours in and it won't come in wrong. Thank you for your interest and comments.
Hi Dave enjoying following your progress, nice to hear your doing so well.
Makes mine & Nigel trip to Brugge this weekend a walk in the park compared to yours. speak later & stay safe cheers Dave
Thank you for the encouragement. The progress in distance has been disappointing. The changing of Hotels and constant moving is tiresome at times. Crossing borders is time consuming. Hopefully Monday I should be in the USA. I,m told flying there is much easier, time will tell. The weather here is remarkablly warm at 19c. The warm coat I bought in Iceland is now a burden of weight and space!
Way-to-go Dave!!! It's a trip I'd love to do! If you have a pit-stop at Waterloo Ontario ( CYKF ) call me at 519-745-7971 and I'll pay for lunch!
Hi Dave all seems to be going well, weather looks to be improving, unlike cheshire its lashing down with rain here still whats new rainy monday mornings.
I must admit I was impressed with your calorie discipline in Goose bay fancy David turning down desert !!!
Not sure where your next leg is to, but rest assured I will be following with envy.
Take care and stay safe DB
Well Done Dave, following your progress with envy. What an Adventure, makes riding overland to Africa look like a walk in the park. Norm nice to see you on here! Dave Myers, I think the dessert must have been about weight not calories :-)
Congrats! I just heared 10 minutes ago via live ATC feed that you have landed safetly at Bangor and turned off at Kilo. The wonders of modern technology! Best wishes for the next leg.
Realy enjoying the photographs and comments from everybody.
All i can do is repeat what every one is saying and wish you well and hope your enjoying this journey as much as what we are. See you soon.
Len. It seemed sureal to text each other from 2 1/2 thousand miles away, and at the same time you could track my progress and listen to the ATC !
What you did.nt know, was I was listening to "Folsom prison blues! by Johnny Cash. Read my main entry to understanding the link !
Tony. Thank you for your kind comments and interest. I hope the work is not being neglected there !
I hope I'll have many storys to tell when I return.
Norm. Thank you very much for your offer of a lunch. But as you can probably see I'am now in the USA. Ther is no doubt that the portions of food they give in Canada are more than generous!
Good of you to offer.
Great to see your progress. No escape from bureaucracy, eh, faulty or otherwise but amazing what a good meal can make up for .... and the appreciation that this is one mean circuit. Good luck for a smooth next leg.
