OUr nearest big city is Rockhampton now but we have decided to stay at the smaller Emu park about 30 mins away. All was going well, the owner of the hostel met us from the bus to drive us out to the park (no emus to be seen by the way!) and our room in the lovely hostel was really nice. Then we decided to check out the ablutions which were in a block outside the hostel - ALWAYS a bad sign! We vry nervously went inside immediately looking upwards in search of any spiders - woohoo, none to be found. Next thing, examining the toilets, you know redbacks on the toilet seat and all that! So tentatively lifting the lid of the toilet I was shcoked to find an enromous green toad looking back up at me from the bowl! My shock continued on inspection of everyother toilet, each of which was housing a toad - and the same in the showers! We quickly brushed our teeth and crossed our legs before racing back to the hostel and to bed.

The following morning I was really bursting so decided to brave the toilets, I flushed one and a giant toad went swmimming about so decided not to pee in that one! The next one i flushed twice and nothing happened so thinking that all was clear, down came the knickers! Mid flow low and behold a giant green toad looking up at the moon! I have never jumped so high in my life, think we will find somewhere else to stay tomoorow night!!!
