Again through a tourist agency, we made the long and beautiful journey to the Perfume Pagoda.
While the pagoda up in a cave in a mountain was cool, it was the journey there that was the most impressive.

We were rowed in small metal boats for an hour up to the pagoda entrance.  From there we took a cable car up the mountain.  We spent all of 5 minutes in the pagoda (named perfume not because of a good smell, but because of a bad translation some years ago) and then hiked down the mountain.

We ate at a restaurant there and then explored a different temple complex at the base. After that we were rowed back to our waiting bus.

Sorry the pictures are not in chronological order, they got organized alphabetically by title.  Next time we will use letters to keep them organized.
