The site has six islands, even though haa actually means five in Thai - we dived the shallow
reef between the islands and the fantastic 'Cathedral' cave. When you enter this tunnel, there's
an opportunity to surface inside. The air inside is exchanged twice a day with the tidal flow
and when you surface inside, the current continues, forming condensation in the air inside with
As we improve our diving skills and get better at buoyancy control, things slow down and it's easier to identify marine life. We had many 'new sights' which are always good: the black and white banded sea snake (very strange looking); Christmas Tree Worms in various colours that hang out on the coral wrapped in a conical shape and hide at any sign of strange divers staring at them; nudibranchs of different sizes and colours with their lungs clearly visible on the outside (from which they derive their name), a cornet fish with a long thin snout, masked porcupine fish, white eyed moray eel and a royal-blue jewel urchin. All that together with the cave meant for a great day diving.
