Three buses from Tamarindo (with chickens sitting beside us) and we arrived at Playa Guiones. The town is a little like the rest of them, one main dirt road with a mini market and a few surf shops, filled with American tourists.

We needn't had bothered with setting the alarm clock as each morning we were woken at around 5am by Howler Monkies. Basically they sound like lions roaring and are incredibly loud for a rather small animal. According to google, they howl at sunrise and sunset and are reportedly the loudest animal on the planet!

Whilst in town we explored the nearby beaches, surfed (surprise, surprise) and once again did not much else. Next we're off to Montezuma... We've opted to splurge $60 each on a 5 hour direct shuttle to avoid three buses, a ferry and a long 12 hours!
