Granada is located on Lake de Nicaragua and is Nicaragua's oldest City. A visit to the town is a must the majority of tourists. Colonial buildings are in abundance, hostels are comfortable and the food is amazing!

It was nice to take some time to walk around the City and check out some buildings. We also took a night tour to Volcano Masaya. It was amazing to look into the crater of an active volcano (even though the smell of Sulphur was somewhat unbearable). We were hoping to see the lava glow but a recent collapse within the crater made this impossible. Whilst on the tour we also walked through caves to look at bats and snakes.

Way of life in Nicaragua: Everyone has rocking chairs in their house. At night people brings their chairs outside and chat with their neighbours. Very sociable and cool!
