Back in the taxi and he took us back into town to a strip of B&Bs. After trying a few of them we chose one that seemed nice enough. The room was not terrible, but the TV was ancient (though it did have cable), the pillows were flat and the towels were tiny and looked like they’d all been cut in half. It did have a bath though, so Rachel was able to soak and relax for a while.
Tomorrow we'll be exploring the castles in the North West of Wales. The central base for this area is a town called Bangor, so that’s were we headed for tonight. After a few different train rides we made it to the town and walked up to the bus station. According to the Lonely Planet book, there was a nice youth hostel near the town, but it didn’t have a map. We asked a taxi driver for directions but they seemed quite complicated and he said he could take us for only 3pounds so that’s what we did. Once we arrived though, the place was pretty deserted and no one was answering the doorbell. Eventually someone did come and told us that it closed as a hostel a year ago.
