Well, San Giovanni is a nice, upscale area on the eastern side of the center. I have a good friend who has now accepted a temporary position in a neighboring area. She has offered me the use of her flat and I have accepted.
The flat is on the fifth floor of a secure building and has a wonderful kitchen and large bathroom. Most important, it will be all to myself. There is also a small balcony with a rooftop view. It is fully furnished and comes complete with everything included. TOTAL SCORE!!
Anyway, today is the moving day and I am all packed up and ready. over the past 9 months, I have gone from 2 suitcases to 6. Mostly clothes. Later today i will go to Licia's with one suitcase and we will drive back and get the rest.
I think this will change my "headspace" regarding life here. Up until now, I have lived in a somewhat sketchy area of town and have had no actual privacy. This will be an improvement.
