So, there really is no Thanksgiving holiday here in Rome. At school, I have used the opportunity for discussion. (Usually more about "Black Friday") Anyway, Bobby and I had made a tenative plan for Chinese food after work followed by a drag show. Also, some of the girls from TEFL class invited me to their party and I in turn invited Bobby.
Given that it is not a holiday here, we had to go for it on a Sunday and also there are no mountains of Turkeys to choose from in the stores. It was explained to me that more than one market was involved in the making of the "Frankenstein turkey". Regardless, there was plenty to eat and the company was fun. Usually I feel very uncomfortable at this kind of party but, it worked out absolutely fine.
On actual Thanksgiving I ended up working late. When I was supposed to meet Bobby and John, I got a little lost(It turns out I didn't go far enough) but I ended up coming home and having a cozy evening in home.
Even so, It was nice.
