I promise this will be a shorter entry than the last.
We left L&F and caught a minibus to Almirante the port on the mainland. The bus was terrible, or at least only 5ft tall and we were standing. Still we were amazed when about an hour later 2 seats became avaliable and the conductor told a local who had just got on that he wasn`t to sit there and called us to the free seat. A true example of good service and justice!
Got to Bocas and got the boat to the main island Colon. We had heard great things about Bocas but I think we were both a tad disapointed; I know I was for sure. We stayed the night in a fine room but decided that when it was raining heavily the next day for hours that we would leave. Got our laundry done as we had both run out of clean clothes and caught the boat back to the mainland. A short stay but given we don`t have heaps of time left we didn`t want to be at the end of the trip wishing we had a few more days to see something excelelnt when we had waited on Bocas for the sun to come out.
So we caught the boat, got a taxi to the border, a very relaxed border indeed, and then a bus to Cahuita in Costa Rica (our 11th country). Also got an hour back as for some unknown reason Costa Rica is GMT -7. This means that the sun rises at 5.30am and sets at 6pm, ridiculous we know.
Until next time.
