Emmy and Chloe were very excited and full of anticipation. After reading an advice blog on Trip Advisor the girls dressed in their brightest and best clothes in a bold attempt to attract the judges - I mean ranger's attention for a chance to feed a dolphin. After waiting 36 minutes the feeding was aborted and a mad dash to the coffee shop was on. The girls were very disappointed but that's nature at its best and worst. One of the dolphins has just had a calf so maybe that had something to do with their absence.
We drove back into Denham to visit the Ocean Park Aquarium a local tourist attraction. It was quite small but had lots of fish of all shapes and sizes. A highlight was the shark feeding and in particular seeing the large tiger shark leap up and grab the fish. The host told us lots of great fishy facts with a definite sense of humour.
After lunch in Denham we drove back to the Little Lagoon to have a look. An amazing blue lagoon where the deepest point is only three metres fed by a small estuary lined by the deadly stonefish. You can fish there but shoes must be worn. Afterwards we spent the afternoon at the beach playing water frisbee, swimming, sun baking, coral spotting in see through boat and making a giant hole in the sand.
The wind really got up again and almost blew us off the map. However, we went fishing near the jetty where it is allowed and had a ball catching heaps of small fish. They were all returned to the water but it was fun.
