Each day I complete the Travel Blog entries at 6.00 am every morning. Why you might ask since we are on holidays? Well caravan parks are not the places for sleep ins. The Ayres Rock Resort (interesting it is still called that) is particularly bad as each morning travellers either want an early departure for their next leg of their journey or they head out for the sunrise at Uluru. The early mornings for us are ok since we are usually in bed by 9.30pm.
We departed for Alice at 10.00 am after being 'distracted' by a lovely couple from Gippsland. I brought So Fresh- The Hits of Springs 2012 CD at the petrol station so we sang our way towards Alice some 450ks away. The girls have been great in the car and watched Diary of a Wimpy Kid and The Simpsons. The drive seemed to take forever but eventually we arrived and set up camp. After the usual arrival swim we went to get some tea but not before I bumped into Maddie B and her mum and dad at the pool. Fancy bumping into a family from Ocean Grove?
Finding the fish and chip shop was interesting in itself because google maps were malfunctioning. I ordered tea while the Dimenties remained locked in the car due to a number of noisy locals in the vicinity.

Gotta love a bit of singing on a trip. How weird is it to meet one of the kids from school? I have a story for that best not aired here. Enjoy the weather: it's been nice here, but back to 15 tomorrow and raining. Love to the Dimenties, hope they are enjoying the touring life. Wish it was me! Stay safe.
