Wow, what a hot day today! 35 degrees was a big shock. Today we went to Wadlata the outback centre in Port Augusta. It was great with lots of info about the formation of the Flinders Rangers, the evolution of the outback and famous explorers. Ernest Giles was the interesting one who went East to West across Australia. The girls had swim number two and the water was still very cold. In the afternoon we visited the Arid Botanical Gardens which were fantastic. The girls had a quandong ice cream which they loved no doubt due to the extra sugar that went into making it. On the way home we visited Matthew Flinders lookout where he visited in 1802. Matthew Flinders is sure big around here!
