We overnighted in Flagstaff, a small town close to the Grand Canyon. After a very quick look around, and hit the road down to Phoenix.
We diverted through to Sedona on the way for food and a change of scenery. Home to mystical types, its a mecca of sorts for people who are more in touch with mother nature than myself, so I wasn't too impressed. Then again I'm very much a total arse so I'd ignore my views on places.
Back to Phoenix for the night, then back home to London the next day.
A really enjoyable trip, but I learnt my lesson when it came to distance / time driven. The major flaw was not taking into account the time taken for photos, food, petrol or just taking in the views. Of course, every trip I go on it never seems like long enough, but this one really felt rushed and I didn't see 10% of what the area has to offer. A real shame, but there is always next time....
