The best trips are those you don't pay for.  A few days in Milan, courtesy of my former company.  Posh Hotel, fancy meals, very expensive drinks...oh and seminars on natural catastrophes, stochastic modeling and other such subjects!  Even managed a brief trip into Milan City centre to absorb some culture.
