Coffs Harbour, NSW - 3rd-5th October, 2008
This entry is really only for completion purposes, rather than anything of any interest...
We arrived into the small coastal town of Coffs Harbour on the Labour Day long weekend, so with that holiday vibe firmly in our minds, we did very, very little indeed. Even with it being Labour Day, we didn't do any labour at all.
Coffs Harbour is famous for two things: A large Banana and a large Clog. We went to neither of them.
What we did do is walk around a lot. First, up to Muttonbird Island Nature Reserve, where we watched some Humpback Wales play in the bay (too far out for photos, sadly). With all the playing around, it's no wonder their migration takes so long. We mooched around the town centre and a couple of markets near the beach, the only thing of note was that we saw a bloke who walked around with some Parrots on his shoulders.
The only other thing of any note was watching the Australian Rugby League final, where Manly thrashed Melbourne 40-nil. Other than that we basked in the sun, ate far too many Ice Creams and just generally did no labour at all.
Time for the next entry methinks...
